Increase in Infrastructure Spend in Northern Ireland
With a 400m budget for Infrastructure spend announced for Northern Ireland we can only hope this will benefit all local Civil Engineering companies in Northern Ireland including Econ Contracts. We hope this will lead to work including York Street Interchange, a project to ease congestion in Belfast. It is expected to cost about 150m, so there should be plenty left over for other major projects. They could include a planned transport hub in the centre of Belfast and other major roads schemes like the completion of the A5 or A6.
Comment from MD:
“This is positive news for our industry and we hope local companies like ourselves will benefit from this spend”
